EdTrust (“EdTrust”, “we”) is operated by EdTrust Kenya Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in the Republic of Kenya under the Companies Act, 2015, with offices at Konza Technopolis, Nairobi, Kenya.
EdTrust offers a multi-platform suite of tools to digitalise the education process. The tools are built for schools, training centres, tutoring centres, and other organisations involved in education.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of edtrust.co.ke and all associated services. By using the Site or the Applications, you accept these Terms in full and our Privacy Policy.
These Terms may evolve over time. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of our services after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you do not, you may request termination of your account.
EdTrust services are available on the web and on smartphones running Android or iOS. The minimum supported version is published on edtrust.co.ke and on the relevant app stores and may change over time. An Internet connection is required.
Our services do not impose an age restriction. Learner accounts for children are created and managed under the responsibility of the school and/or the parent/guardian, in accordance with section 33 of the Data Protection Act, 2019.
EdTrust may suspend or close an account at any time, in particular for breach of these Terms, fraudulent use, or as required by law.
You may request the closure and deletion of your EdTrust account at any time by writing to contact@edtrust.co.ke.
By default, your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in the Frankfurt region (Germany). On request, we can host the database on the school’s own infrastructure, subject to the technical prerequisites we share. You may request a copy of your data, which will be provided within 7 days of receipt of your request. We undertake to delete all copies of your data from our servers within 90 days to 12 months from the date of receipt of your deletion request.
EdTrust provides a multi-platform suite:
Where the school enables online fee payments, parents and learners may pay through licensed payment service providers, including M-Pesa (Safaricom) and other PCI-compliant card processors regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya. Transaction confirmations are issued by the payment provider; receipts are made available within EdParent and EdManager.
Refunds, disputes and chargebacks are handled by the school in line with the school’s fees policy. EdTrust’s role is limited to providing the technical platform.
All trademarks, logos, content, text, graphics, databases, source code and other resources accessible through the Site and the Applications are the exclusive property of EdTrust or its licensors, and are protected by Kenyan and international intellectual-property laws. Any unauthorised reproduction, representation or reuse is strictly prohibited.
Any information you submit through forms (demo requests, contact forms, quotation requests) is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are entitled to share it.
The Site and Applications may include features powered by third parties (HubSpot, AWS, M-Pesa, SMS aggregators, payment processors). Your use of those features is also subject to those third parties’ terms and privacy policies.
The services are provided “as is”. We make every effort to keep information accurate and the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, EdTrust shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, our services.
Neither party shall be liable for delay or failure to perform caused by an event of force majeure, including natural disasters (floods, fires, drought), political or social unrest, pandemic or national health crises, or major failures in telecommunications and electrical infrastructure. We will communicate operational adjustments promptly and resume normal operations as soon as reasonably possible.
Processing of personal data is governed by the Data Protection Act, 2019 and our Privacy Policy, which sets out the categories of data, lawful bases, recipients, retention periods and your rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
The Site uses essential cookies and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably. Failing such resolution, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nairobi.
